Medical Transportation
The West Bend Chapter provides transportation to medical appointments outside of Washington County for those who have no other means of transportation. In addition to standard vehicles we also have wheelchair accessible vans. A family member or friend may accompany the client and transportation is provided from the client’s home to the medical appointment and back home again.
Request transportation for a medical appointment
Reservations should be made at least one week before your appointment. We provide transportation for appointments scheduled no earlier than 9:00 am and no later than 2:00 pm. The approximate length of the appointment is also needed when scheduling transportation. Requests are made by contacting the West Bend Red Cross Chapter between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday at (262) 334-5687
Transportation Fees
The cost for ambulatory clients is $20.00
The cost for the use of a wheelchair vehicle is $30.00
Payments are made by check or cash. They can be mailed to the Chapter or given to the driver in a sealed envelope when transportation is provided. Please be sure to indicate that the funds are for “transportation.”
If you are financially able to give more than the listed fee the money will be credited to the transportation fund as a donation.
